Biography Vital Statistics:
Family: Married Sue Combs in 1994. Sue's son, Kevin is a freshman at Harvey Mudd College in California. Her other son, Kyle, is a senior at Ponderosa High School in Douglas County.
Education: B. S. Degree in Forest Ecology (Honor's Program). Auburn, University. 1976 Graduate studies in Forest Soils. University of Arkansas. 1977
Political Experience: Elected to Parker's Town Council in 1996. Re-elected for another four-year term in 2000. Serving on various Boards and Committees.
Early Childhood: I had a wonderful childhood in Alabama with my mother, father, and sister. When not attending my local public school or the local Southern Baptist Church, I was exploring the "woods" around my home.
Work Experience: I worked for the U.S. Forest Service and the U. S. Bureau of Land
Management in Colorado, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska in a variety of positions. I have also worked construction, delivered milk, been a tour guide, worked on an assembly line, and done a little free-lance writing. For the last fifteen years I have been working part-time in retail sales at REI on a schedule that allowed me to be a political activist and then a "Back-up Dad" and a Town Councilman.
